Behringer B-5 Small Diaphragm Co Microphone - Silver

Brought to you by Behringer microphone manufacturer, the updated version of the Behringer B-5 multi-purpose co microphone, variable directionality and small diaphragm, is highly prized for its versatility, and is suitable for both live recording and sound applications as well as production and video.

The capsule body, sprayed with gold, makes the microphone extremely resistant to moisture. If no phantom power is available, the Behringer B-5 can be powered by two standard AA batteries with a long-lasting Battery Life. Buttons for activating a low-cut filter and the -10 dB attenuator are positioned in the battery compartment. It has a silent on-off button accompanied by an LED indicating the battery status.

The combination of the electrostatic transducer in the'Backplate' technique and the suspension of the capsule optimize the rejection of handling noise and the cable. The microphone body is made of solid aluminum with screw-down brass top and steel grille in ox ydable. The output connector is a 3pts XLR male.

By unscrewing the windscreen and the upper tube, it is possible to install the directional converter module to switch from cardioid to hyper-cardioid or the presence amplifier module which increases the sensitivity of the microphone by about 5 dB between 5 kHz and 9 kHz for optimal speech intelligibility.
