You can even bring in Riley, from single-player campaign mode, who will become your watchdog and warn you when enemies are around and who attacks them if they come close. The story begins in 2017. With oil reserves in the Middle East depleted following the Tel Aviv War, Latin America becomes the first to take advantage of petrodollars. A supranational entity unites South American countries under one banner, the Federation of the Americas. To protect themselves from a Federation offensive, the Federation of the Americas, the Middle East has become the first to take advantage of petrodollars. United States has set up a space weapon capable of carrying out an orbital bombardment, codenamed ODIN (Orbital Defense Initiative). But the Federation stormed the control space station, turned ODIN against the United States and unleashed an unprecedented cataclysm. 10 years later, the Federation took control of Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico and the southern United States, total weakened since the disaster. An elite special forces unit named Ghosts whose members named themselves Keegan, Merrick, Rorke (who after being captured and drugged by the federation would become the main enemy), trained and trained by Elias Walker (the player's father), composed of members including Logan Walker (the player) and his older brother David "Hesh" Walker (and their dog Riley) resisted in the shadows to restore U.S. sovereignty. To do this, they would travel the American continent, accompanied by ground (drones, vehicles), aerial (drones, missiles), naval (torpedoes, ships).Call of Duty: Ghosts Campaign Mode, consisting of 18 missions (Stories of Ghosts, Un New mo nde, No man's land, Deadly Strike, Return to the fold, The Legends of the Dead, The Legends of the Dead, The Fall of Atlas, In the profo nde urs, Terminus, Sin City, All or Nothing, Linkage Cut, LOKI and The Ghosts Killer) brings us once again to our modern era as well as to a future p roch as was the case with Black Ops II. The solo of the title focuses exclusively on the American continent. Like Black Ops II, there is a father-son relationship as well as a relationship between two brothers as in the episode Big Red One.
However, unlike the previous installment, the story of the campaign mode is linear (with only one ending).[11] Indeed, the peculiarity of the Call of Duty: Black Ops II campaign was that, depending on the player's actions and choices, the story changed to give a different ending, so the game could have more than 6 endings.
In return, Infinity Ward announced that the map size in which missions take place will be larger and more open than usual, so the player, who has no indication, will be able to choose different paths throughout missions, allowing Easter eggs to be brought along throughout missions. They also announced that they are taking inspiration from the campaign of their previous Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game by chaining more intense action-based missions and quieter moments.[12]
The end scene scripts of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 were reused in the first mission of Call of Duty: GhostsThe game system is quite similar to that of the previous installment of Infinity Ward Modern Warfare 3. Indeed, both games use the "Poinstreak" system (one enemy killed, one flag captured, one bomb defused or placed gives a point). There are also 3 different bonus lists for these Poinstreaks, two giving support vehicles whether ground or air, dogs, weapons, protections, etc. and a third giving assets as the player gains points. The assets are also much more numerous than in previous Call of Duty (35 vs. fifteen). This number is explained by the implementation of a system equivalent to that of Black Ops II for classes but concerning the assets. This system is called the "Pick System", the player has 8 points (or 11 if he decides to remove his equipment and secondary weapons) that he can spend by taking assets from one point to the previous assets from the player's, and the same time, unlike the player can be found in value of 8 points.
